HYDERABAD: A law student hanged herself to death in her room at a private hostel in Yellareddyguda on Sunday. Police said the reason for taking the extreme step could not be ascertained as the girl did not leave behind any suicide note.Keerthi Priya (19) hails from Narsapuram in West Godavari district and was pursuing her third year law course from the Padala Rami Reddy Law College in Yellareddyguda. She was staying at Sai Krupa hostel in the same locality.Punjagutta police said Keerthi's two roommates left in the morning to meet their friends, leaving Priya in the room.They did not ask Priya to come along as she was sleeping.Around 1.30 p.m, the two girls returned and tried to call Priya for lunch but found the room locked from inside.As Priya did not open the door in spite of repeated knocking, they alerted the hostel management.The hostel security guard forced open the rear window and found Priya hanging from the ceiling fan.Police broke open the door and informed the girl's uncle, who stays nearby.Her parents were also informed about the girl's death. Police said they would collect more details from her friends and family members to ascertain the reasons for the suicide.
