Barcelona: Kamui Kobayashi closed Formula One's penultimate preseason test with the fastest lap time of the week for Sauber.
The Japanese driver's lap of 1 minute, 22.312 seconds at the Catalunya Circuit on Friday was more than two-tenths of a second quicker than Pastor Maldonado of Williams to close the four-day session.
Paul Di Resta of Force India and Jenson Button of McLaren finished within one second of Kobayashi, while Felipe Massa of Ferrari completed the top five.
Mark Webber steered his Red Bull around the track in a best time of 1:23.744 for the defending F1 champions. Barcelona hosts the final test event next week before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on March 18.
