Around 10 new dead bodies have been extracted from the debris that lay over the Sadal village of Udhampur after a massive landslide that took place last week.

Udhampur: Around 10 new dead bodies have been extracted from the debris that lay over the Sadal village of Udhampur after a massive landslide that took place last week.

The Indian Army who have emerged as a saviour in the times of masive disaster after the floods in the state are trying to extract every possible body from the derbis.

"We are trying to get hold of everyone who is missing live or dead, the local residents of village and various agencies are great help to us," said an Army officer who is supervising the rescue operations in the village.

Though the landslide is only one incident in the district, the whole local civic body is missing from the rescue operations and the whole operations are undertaken by the Army. The local people inturn are enraged due to the absence of local civic bodies.

A total of 40 people have been found dead till now in the village.
