There are several composers who have contributed to the growth of carnatic music over the years. It is heartening that Tanishq is taking the initiative to bring out the best talents in the  carnatic field by conducting competitions on Raj TV. I am extremely glad to be a part of this project as a consultant and a judge for this unique competition. ”Speaking on the occasion, Mala Manyan, Chief Operating Officer (COO ), Raj Television, said, “Raj TV is very proud to be  associated with Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham. This is a unique attempt in itself wherein Tanishq, in association with Raj TV, is getting the connoisseurs of classical music together on one platform to unearth the hidden talents. Today, television is brimming with musical reality shows on channels, that focus on contemporary or film/popular music but very rarely do you get shows that focus on a purist musical form like Carnatic classical. Also our attempt is to popularise this form of music among the youth and contemporary singers and this is what differentiates Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham from other reality shows. We have aspirants from across the state and also from other parts of the country and even abroad who participated in the auditions and the average age of the contestants is between 15-23 years.”
