Portrush (Northern Ireland): Three bogeys in a round of 71 pushed overnight joint leader Jeev Milkha Singh to tied eighth at the midway stage of the Irish Open here.
Jeev, who co-led the field with a round of 65 on first day, is now eight-under 136.
Jeev is four behind Frenchman Gregory Bourdy who leads the Irish Open. Bourdy moved to 12-under at the midway stage of the two million euro event.
Padraig Harrington is hard on his heels after the three-time Major Champion posted his second successive round of 67, much to the delight of the huge crowds gathered at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
However, Shiv Kapur's three-under 69 was not enough to keep him afloat as he missed the cut along with SSP Chowrasia (78-73).
Jeev, starting on the 10th, had a birdie and a bogey on back-nine. He birdied the first and second and was nine-under for the tournament. But Back-to-back bogeys on seventh and eighth pushed him down before he closed with a birdie on the ninth for a round of 71.
England's Mark Foster is one stroke off the lead after a flawless round of 67.
