Colombo: An Indian engineer from Hyderabad has been gunned down in the Sri Lankan capital, police said.
Durga Prasad, 30, worked for Aster Communications and was attached to a local mobile phone company.
He was shot dead on Wednesday night in the Dehiwala area of the Lankan capital.
Investigations are underway and authorities are yet to establish a motive for the killing.
Diplomatic sources said Aster executives were expected to finalise funeral arrangements soon.
