'I Know. I Do': Rajinikanth Loses Cool While Answering Mediapersons Post Visiting Tuticorin
On being asked if Chief Minister Palaniswamy should resign, Rajinikanth said, "Calling for resignation of CM is not an answer for anything.”

Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth, who visited the protest-hit Tuticorin, lost his cool over the relentless questioning by the mediapersons at the Chennai airport on Wednesday.

Rajinikanth said Sterlite protests turned violent only because antisocial elements attacked police and property and added that if protests continue, Tamil Nadu will turn into a graveyard.

"Just like during the Jallikattu protest, when a few anti-social elements infiltrated and created a riot, the same thing happened here. These anti-social elements were the ones who attacked the police, destroyed property at Collectorate, set fire to the housing quarters," said Rajinikanth.

When asked how he knows this, he replied: “I just know. I do.”

He also added that the violence began only after these anti-social elements attacked the police.

Rajinikanth, who met the injured at the Government Hospital in Tuticorin district, announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh for those who died and Rs 10,000 for the injured.

On being asked if Chief Minister Palaniswamy should resign, he said, "Calling for resignation of CM is not an answer for anything.”

He added that there should be a CBCID probe into the incident and that he doesn't trust the one man committee appointed by the Tamil Nadu Government.

He had earlier in Tuticorin mentioned how action should be taken against the people who attacked policemen.

He said: "We should also take action against the people who hit the policemen. Even they shouldn't be spared. The pictures of these men should be published in newspapers and TV channels."
