Understanding of God
God exists in the work that he does. He is a good friend who is always around and guides me. He is not someone whom I have to be frightened of, but a very real person with whom I can fight and converse.
Faith in miracles
Nature is a miracle by itself. I believe that we can get out of tough situations if we are positive, and I am a very firm believer in the power of prayer.
Religious practices
I’m not a very religious person but I do visit temples, preferably when they are not crowded. Such visits give me a lot of peace, and the positive energy rubs off on me.
Any spiritual practice is a path that leads to god. Pujas and regular visits to places of worship need not necessarily be just to please god.
Meditation
This is necessary in today’s world. It helps one to be content with god’s love and the world around us.
Pilgrimage sites
“If god is in your heart, your pilgrimage has ended where you start,” according to Rumi. I believe in this. I visit any temple that is old and has a history attached to it, and would like to visit Manasarovar.
