New Delhi: Belgium's Justine Henin beat Amelie Mauresmo in straight sets to lift the Dubai Open title for the fourth time.
The top seeded Belgian raced past Mauresmo 6-4 in the first set. Though second seed Mauresmo fought back but she failed to convert her chances and Henin wrapped up the second set and the match 6-4, 7-5. Henin has now clinched 30 career titles.
"It's an amazing feeling. I just, I was so happy to be on the court during this final. I could take the best of me and I think it was a very good match and I did put on her a lot of pressure. I've been pretty aggressive and I took the opportunities and I kept fighting on every point. So, it's great to win here for the fourth time and it's just a great feeling for me here tonight. A little bit of relief," a jubilant Henin told reporters after her win.
