KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday sought the view of the Central Government on a petition against the inclusion of four dams within the territory of Kerala in the list of dams in Tamil Nadu.Kerala Congress (anti-merger group) chairman P C Thomas in his petition submitted that the Central Water Commission had included Mullaperiyar, Parambikkulam, Thoonakadav and Peruvaripallam among the 108 dams of Tamil Nadu.The register was updated in January 2009. A representation was submitted before the Central Government to remove the names of the dams but no action has been taken so far, he said. The petitioner sought a directive to correct the wrong statement regarding the four dams. The court also directed both the state governments and the Centre to file affidavits within four weeks.
