Groupism in police department will not be allowed

Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said  that groupism in the Police Department would not be entertained.

“If any secret meeting by CPM-supporting policemen was held at the Kasargod Police Chief’s office then it would be inquired,” the Minister said while addressing the mediapersons at the Guest House in Kanhangad on Saturday.

The Home Minister also said that 175 police personnel and 50 vehicles were sanctioned for the district. He also said that these police personnel would be given mobile phones for timely communication.

However, he said that he had not received any report on establishing ‘Friend Police’ from DIG S Sreejith.

The Minister also said that no complaint has been received yet in connection with the harassment of a girl by P Jayarajan’s son and the case would be investigated if a complaint is filed.

The Home Minister also said that the government will not succumb to any intervention by CPM in the T P Chandrashekhran murder case and investigations will be proceeded in a systematic way. “The method of arresting enlisted culprits by the party is not the system now,” he said.
