A day after 6 Army personnel were killed in an ambush by terrorists in Chandel district of Manipur, Home Ministry sources say the group behind the attack has been identified. Security agencies have been asked to take strictest action against the perpetrators.

A group of terrorists had on Sunday afternoon ambushed a convoy of 29 Assam Rifles killing a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and five jawans near the Indo-Myanmar border in Chandel district.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had directed security forces to take "strongest possible action" against the terrorists involved in the ambush.
