Durban: South African cricket captain Graeme Smith is smitten by Bollywood and says that he watches Hindi movies whenever he is in India.

And it was a dream come true for Smith when he met Bollywood actors shooting for the movie Cash in Cape Town.

Smith was invited by the chief of Sahara Computers in South Africa, Ajay Gupta, to visit the crew as guests of producer Sohail Maklai.

"It's really wonderful to be associated with these stars. I have been to India on a number of occasions and love the country," Smith was quoted in Argus newspaper.

Smith met actors Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Anubhav Sinha, Ritesh Desmukh and Sohail Maklai.

"Cricket is obviously big in India and Bollywood is just as popular. I don't quite understand the language, but watch quite a bit of television when we are over there. Their film industry is just so larger than life; it's really in your face. Wherever you go, there are massive billboards of the movies and they are so popular," Smith said.

"When Ajay Gupta called and asked me to accompany him to a Bollywood set, I was very keen. But to be asked to act as director and shout action for the first scene, well, that's cool, really cool," Smith added.

What's your reaction?
