HYDERABAD: Demanding that arrears of fee reimbursement for 2010-11 be cleared immediately, representatives of the Consortium of Private Engineering Colleges Managements Association (CPECMA) called on ministers Damodar Rajanarasimha and P Satyanarayana at the Secretariat on Thursday. They alleged the government had failed to release the third instalment of Rs 1,000 crore during May.CPECMA representatives said the state government had failed to keep up its promise for releasing arrears of fee reimbursement to colleges in a phased manner. Though the government claimed to have released Rs 1,000 crore during May, they said the amount was yet to be disbursed to colleges till date. "The government is citing technical problems in disbursement of arrears which is not true. The government failed to release the amount despite directions of the Supreme Court which can be considered as contempt of court," said CPECMA representatives. The college managements demanded the government to release the third instalment of Rs 1,000 crore in addition to the fourth instalment of Rs 831 crore immediately.
