THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Medical Council of India (MCI), demanding the cancellation of the admissions, made by the four Medical Colleges under the Inter-Church Council, to PG seats.The Government, in the letter, said that the admissions were irregular.Meanwhile, it is reliably learnt that the Directorate of Medical Education is planning to cancel the admissions made to the PG medical seats in the Self-Financing Medical Colleges. The counselling was stopped midway on Tuesday with the High Court temporarily striking down the order of the State government to take over 50 per cent of PG seats in the self-financing medical colleges.As many as eight students, who were allotted seats in the counselling, got admission.
