Government transfers UoM Prof to Kuvempu

MYSORE: The state has transferred Mysore University Zoology Prof Shivabasavaiah, facing charges of sexual harassment, to Kuvempu University.The chancellor has given his approval to the recommendation of the state to transfer Shivabasavaiah. V-C V G Talwar and Registrar Prof Naik served government order and were relived from duty on Tuesday. The decision of transferring the Prof is a set back when the departmental enquiry ordered by the UoM is incomplete. The Women Harassment Compliant Enquiry Committee based on the compliant conducted an inquiry indicting Shivabasavaiah and claimed that there is evidence.
