HYDERABAD: The state government has extended the time for clearing pending Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applications already received by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), other corporations and municipalities in the state for a further period of three months till September 30. The municipal administration and urban development department issued orders amending the Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Unapproved and Illegal Layout Rules 2007, Rule 9 (i) of GO Ms.No 902 by extending the period for three months. The above amendment is issued only for disposal of pending LRS applications. No fresh application would be accepted.The decision was taken as the GHMC stated that it has received 81,443 applications and so far only 51,243 applications were cleared.Further the GHMC stated that the town planning staff were engaged in road widening process relating to three corridors of the Hyderabad Metro Rail and also preparation of records relating to Census-2011.
