God has no form

Understanding of godMy relationship with God is very personal. I strongly believe in God’s presence and destiny. God is omnipresent and therefore has no form!  I also believe that there is only so much that we as humans can do. Beyond  that, there is a strong force that decides what must happen and over which we have no control.Religious practices I pray every day. It gives me peace and direction of thought. I am spiritually inclined. It helps me make the right decisions and keeps my morals intact. I feel everything that happens is an act of God. So, whatever happens — happens for good. Even if you don’t realise it now, in the long run, you will realise that it was for your good!Faith in MiraclesEvery day is like a miracle for me! The very existence of life, planets, gravitational force, how a tiny seed grows into a mighty tree, child birth --  everything is a miracle.Life is full of miracles!! There is so much poverty around us — it’s a miracle that I am wealthy. When there is so much of sickness and suffering, it’s a miracle that I am  healthy. It’s a miracle that my parents are still around to guide me. It’s a miracle that I have a husband who loves and adores me. My two daughters are the greatest miracles that have ever happened to me. I feel truly blessed!Favourite pilgrimage sitesIt has to be the holy kabba in Mecca! Haven’t visited yet but Inshaallah will visit it soon. I also marvel at the architecture of the Vatican. It is one of my dream destinations.Other faiths I really admire the unity, discipline and dedication the Christians have towards their religion.  I would like to imbibe that in my religious practice. I also greatly admire the cleanliness and orderliness in a Hindu Brahmin household and wish we could learn a lesson or two from them.(Maria Tanveer is the owner of Adoniya stores)
