GHMC chided on illegal structures

HYDERABAD: Justice NV Ramana disapproved of the claims of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) that it had demolished over 13,000 'illegal structures' in the last month.Chiding the authorities, justice Ramana asked as to how 13,000 illegal structures were permitted in the first place.He criticised the methodology of first permitting illegal structures and then introducing regulation fee. He made it clear that the court would soon pass a detailed order setting down guidelines.The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by Model House Flat Owners Association complaining of erratic parking of vehicles across the city.
