Kamen: Striker Fernando Torres said the unity in the Spain camp was the reason for the team's excellent start to the World Cup.
"The key for us is we all realise the team is more important than anything else and we are a very united group," Torres said on Wednesday.
"The other thing that has helped us is results are going our way and when you win you forget any problems you have. It brings the group together even more and increases confidence."
Spain cruised to a 4-0 victory over Ukraine in their opening match in Group H before coming from a goal down to beat Tunisia 3-1.
They are assured a place in the last 16 and, barring a freak result in Friday's final game against Saudi Arabia in Kaiserslautern, Spain will progress as group winners.
"If we win our last game and finish on nine points then people will see we mean business," said Torres.
"We are starting to realise we have no reason to envy any of the other teams that are here."
But the 22-year-old, Spain's leading scorer with three goals, said his side could not be classed as one of the title favourites.
"We aren't one of the favourites," said Torres. "The favourites are those teams that have already won a World Cup.
"Spain have never won one or even been in a final. At the moment things are going well but for our dreams to be fulfilled we have to get to the final."
Torres, who could be rested on Friday, has been constantly linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid.
Although he said he was flattered by the interest, Torres said he was not thinking about his club future at the moment.
"It's good to be talked about and it's important other clubs appear to be interested but I'm focused on the World Cup and nothing else," he said.
"I haven't played in Europe with Atletico and it is good to play on the international stage with Spain, we'll have to wait and see what happens."
