London: In five matches so far at the 2009 Wimbledon tennis championship, Roger Federer has lost only one set.
Now he is just two matches away from a 15th Grand Slam crown and his sixth at Wimbledon.
"I'm happy to be back into another semi-final... 21st in a row. It's amazing... means the world to me. Let's see what happens now," Federer said after winning his quarter-final match against Ivo Karlovic in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, 7-6.
For four years now Federer hasn't been beaten before the semi-final stage of a Grand Slam tournament.
Challengers have come and gone but Federer has stayed on his heady pedestal, snuffing out challengers with ease.
"Well, first of all, I'm happy the way I'm playing, which is always most important, is to focus on my own game. So from that standpoint, obviously everything is good. I just won, you know, my quarters, so obviously my mind has not started wondering yet," said Federer.
But in Tommy Haas, Federer faces a plucky opponent who has made it to the last four with some impressive wins including the quarter-final victory over fourth seed Novak Djokovic.
Haas has lost nine of his 11 matches against Federer, including the one at the French Open last month when he let a two set lead slip to go down in five sets.
"Against Tommy I have to play, you know, a good match from the start. And as we saw in Paris, it was brutal. Yeah, it's going be tough," admitted Federer.
Grand slam title No. 15 awaits the legend and only a brave man will bet against Federer not taking it.
