New Delhi: Now, fans not turning up at designated hour for an event is nothing new.
So fans of Priyanka Chopra in Jammu and Kashmir were left disgruntled as they could not catch a glimpse of the actress despite skipping meals and climbing hills and trees.
Fans made their ways through even in the high-security zones of the city from early morning as news of Priyanka's arrival trickled in. "I have been here since the morning to see Priyanka," ardent fan Mohammad Amin was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
Amin’s story was similar to other fans who walked around the Dal Lake, visited Mughal Gardens, Shalimar and Harwan and the Botanical Gardens – all evnues of Priyanka’s visit - but all in vain.
"We heard she is staying in Grand Palace Hotel, but the guards are not allowing us inside," many fans were heard complaining.
It wasn’t all about Priyanka’s fans. Many followers of cricketer Kapil Dev were also left asking for more.
Kapil was among 86 golfers who were seen in action for nearly three hours at the one-day Tag Heuer-Kingfisher Precision Golf Tournament, held for the third year running.
The tourney was inaugurated by Tourism Minister Mohammed Dilawar Mir at the Royal Springs Golf Course in the foothills of Zabarwan range.
The fans groused they were unable to get impromptu bowling or batting tips from cricketing legend.
