New Delhi: The world's most popular social networking service went down for several minutes a little after 6 PM IST on Tuesday and many worried social networking addicts took to the other popular social networking service Twitter to express their angst.
While the Facebook website was back and running at the time of posting this, many users on Twitter reported that they were still unable to access the website. User complaints about Facebook not working have been pouring in on Twitter from regions across the globe. This seems to suggest that the latest Facebook downtime may be something more than just a glitch.
A few days ago there two service outages within the course of several hours rocked Twitter and users worldwide reported significant down-time and slow service across both Twitter's website and mobile applications.
This is the second Facebook outage in less than a month, following the social networking giant's botched May 18 IPO.
On May 30 Facebook's website earlier suffered sporadic outages that lasted anywhere from half an hour to two hours according to various blogs, tweets and affected users.####Buzz on Twitter
