HYDERABAD: Paving way for the Enforcement Directorate to speed up its probe into Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s alleged illegal assets case, the CBI court on Thursday permitted the ED to have have access to the copies and related documents of the first chargesheet filed by the CBI in the case.After the court took cognisance of the first chargesheets filed by the CBI, the ED filed a petition in the court seeking copies of the chargesheet and related documents few days back.The CBI did not oppose to the petition filed by the ED and the court permitted the latter to have access to the documents.In the first chargesheet, the CBI named Jagan and 12 others as accused. Jagan was charged with getting investments worth several crores from various business firms into his businesses as part of quid-pro-quo when his father (late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy) was the chief minister.The ED registered a case under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act against Jagan and is also probing alleged contravention of foreign exchange rules in his financial transactions and investments.
