THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: OrysisIndia, a Technopark company and Ayruz Web Holdings, Kochi, launched their latest digital product ‘Wordzo,’ a unique product designed towards improving English vocabulary. The product was launched by Shashi Tharoor MP, at a function held at Technopark on Tuesday. Technopark CEO, Mervin Alexander and Director of State Inter University Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics, Kerala University, Achuthsankar S Nair were also present on the occasion.Wordzo is developed as an attempt to improve English vocabulary through an interactive, knowledgeable and enjoyable methodology. It applies the natural learning process of mastering the English language through three tools - the e-book reader, a multi-lingual dictionary and a vocabulary revision tool.The product has an online library of over 20,000 books that covers various genres from fiction, children’s books, history and science to name a few. The tool is a web-based application that need not be downloaded or installed. The application can be subscribed online for an annual fee of Rs 2,000. The product is aimed at all those who intend to build good English vocabulary and all those aspiring to write competitive examinations.Speaking on the occasion, Shashi Tharoor said that Wordzo was an amazing product, a vocabulary-building world beater invented by Indians anticipating tomorrow’s needs and contemporary requirements.“To make the marketing easy, I will send a word about Wordzo to more than 1.2 million Twitter followers,”he promised. The product-launch was followed by a session titled “Gateway to Verbal Intelligence” by Jayesh JL, CEO, Vertex HR Management.“Nature teaches to observe, re-observe and follow. Wordzo applies this to the natural learning process of mastering the English language. The meanings of the words will be listed in 32 different languages and all one needs to do is double click on the unknown word,” said Kenney Jacob, CEO and the creator of Wordzo.“Our aim is to create a new generation leaders who can make a difference in the world. The effective economic system helps students to improve the language by imparting the habit of reading from very lower level of education until he/she earns his/her higher education,” said Arun Raj, CEO, OrisysIndia.
