DU's St.Stephen's College sets cut-off at 98 per cent
St. Stephens college reserves 50 per cent of its seats for Christians.

New Delhi: The cut-off for admissions to the four-year undergraduate economics and English programmes for students with commerce background in Delhi University's St.Stephen's College has been set at 98 per cent, according to figures released by the college today.

"This cut-off set is determined on the basis of the marks scored by the applicants. The cut-off registered this year is almost the same as that of last year," St. Stephen's principal Valson Thampu told IANS.

At 97.25 per cent, the cut-off for the four-year undergraduate programme in mathematics has been set over three per cent higher than last year.

For the four-year undergraduate programme in philosophy, then cut-off has been set at 97 per cent.

Similarly, in the science stream the cut-offs for the chemistry and physics subjects are 96.3 per cent and 96.66 per cent respectively.

There has been no change in the cut-off percentage set for the Sanskrit programme, which is 65 per cent.

St.Stephen's reserves 50 per cent of its seats for Christian candidates, 8.5 per cent for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes, 1.5 per cent for differently-abled candidates, while the remaining 40 per cent of seats are for general category students.
