The doctors formed a human chain on MG Road on Sunday evening and took out a candlelight procession, the strikers said.
More than 2,500 private medical practitioners and members of the Indian Medical Association joined the striking doctors. Doctors in Aligarh, Firozabad, Mathura and Mainpuri districts also backed them.
