Chennai: The DMK has decided to support Tamil Nadu farmers' proposed bandh against Karnataka on March 28th. The farmers are opposing Karnataka's plan to build two dams across Cauvery at Mekedatu. The DMK chief M Karunanidhi has asked the ruling AIADMK to call for total bandh on March 28.
He said "I hope traders, film industry and all would support. Karnataka's reservoir plan violates Cauvery Tribunal's order".
Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam too has sought the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention on the issue.
