HYDERABAD: A day after the name of the son of home minister P Sabita Indra Reddy had figured in a land dispute, police on Tuesday stepped up investigation and identified the accused involved in trespassing and razing down of structures in the disputed land.They also initiated a probe into the involvement of some local policemen in the dispute.members of one of the two disputing groups met director- general of police V Dinesh Reddy and complained of threat to their lives from the minister’s son and his associates.The dispute was between Mohd Moinuddin and others over a land at Madinaguda in Miyapur and the opponents of Moinuddin allegedly razed down some structures in the disputed land in spite of a stay granted by court.“We told the DGP about the threat to us from home minister’s son Karthik Reddy and his associates,’’ Jayaprakash Choudary, the developer of Moinuddin’s land, said.Asked why Karthik Reddy’s name was not included in the complaint filed after trespassing, Jayaprakash said they listed the sequence of events in the complaint and mentioned the names of only those who were involved in the trespass.“Later, we found that Karthik Reddy is behind our opponents and we fear threat from him,’’ he said.Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said they identified the trespassers.‘‘The case was registered against four persons, Narayana Rao, Abdul Ghani, Vikrutam and Vithal Reddy, whose name were mentioned by the complainant,’’ he said.‘‘There is no mention of other names in the complaint,’’ he said referring to the minister’s son.Tirumala Rao suspended CI Bheem Reddy and SI Ramulu after examining allegations of the local police taking the side of Moinuddin’s opponents.Four teams comprising senior police officers were constituted to nab the accused.
