Two people have been arrested in connection with the robbery case at the Rajendra Nagar Metro station in Delhi. Sources say one of the two men arrested is a former employee of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The accused have been identified as Pawan, the former DMRC employee, and Sonu. Pawan allegedly conspired to carry out the heist with his aide Sonu. Pawan had lured Sonu to carry out the operation by promising a hefty share in the money that they would rob.
Pawan was reportedly sacked from DMRC nearly 4 months back after an altercation with the victim Kunal Kishore.
The two men had allegedly stabbed Delhi Metro station controller Kunal Kishore and then ran away with Rs 12 lakh. The injured station controller is yet to properly record his statement.
Police will also be questioning several other officials, including Metro and security personnel.
