HYDERABAD: The Congress high command is learnt to have put on hold the wish list chief minister Kiran Reddy brought with him on his visit to the national capital Saturday.According to sources, Kiran Reddy submitted a number of demands to the high command including proposals for a reconstitution of the cabinet, reshuffle of portfolios and appointments to nominated posts.He is also said to have submitted his explanation on the appointment of information commissioners and the IAS officers' protest against CBI investigations.The chief minister is also said to have discussed the scenario for the party in the state if speaker N Manohar proceeds to disqualify 17 MLAs from the Assembly and byelections are then called to the vacant seats.The CM arrived in Delhi Saturday to discuss several political and governance issues with the party high command.After a long wait at AP Bhavan, he had a lengthy meeting with AICC gen-sec Ghulam Nabi Azad and a brief interaction with AICC president Sonia Gandhi.He was also scheduled to meet her political adviser Ahamed Patel and Union home minister P Chidambaram and several others.Having heard him out, leadership figures are learnt to have suggested to him to limit his cabinet exercise to inducting three MLAs from Telangana into the cabinet to correct the regional imbalances.The chief minister is said to be hopeful that he will be able to persuade the leadership to agree to his other demands when meets more high command leaders on Sunday.Several Congress legislators are waiting in the wings to get into the Kiran Reddy cabinet.These include J C Diwakar Reddy, G Venkata Ramana Reddy, deputy speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, whip Kondru Murali and MLCs Rudra Raju Padma Raju and Makam Rangareddy.
