BANGALORE: The High Court on Thursday adjourned the bail application of actor Darshan, who is presently at parapanna Agrahara central jail till October 6 (Vijayadasami festival celebrated to commemorate the victory of good over evil).A bench headed by Justice B V Pinto adjourned the hearing of the bail plea after directing with Special Public Prosecutor Chandramouli, to file a objection against Darshan’s bail plea within the next 14 days.The First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday extended Darshan’s judicial custody till October 4. The actor was discharged from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases, where he was undergoing treatment for asthma and Jaundice since September 10 and was taken to Parapanna Agrahara central prison.Earlier, a sessions court had rejected Darshan’s bail plea on grounds that the actor was influential and could bring pressure on his wife (Vijayalakshmi), witnesses and tamper the evidence involved with the case.Vijayalakshmi had appeared before the magisterial court earlier seeking to withdraw her complaint, but the court did not accept and rejected Darshan’s bail plea on grounds that the crime committed under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) did not fall under its jurisdiction.
