Congress President Sonia Gandhi leaves for short visit abroad

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today left for a short visit abroad."Gandhi is currently travelling on a short international visit for personal reasons", party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said in a statement.

No further details were made available about the visit and the talk in party circles was that she will be away for a at least a week. Rahul Gandhi is also likely to leave the country for a few days for the same reasons but there was no confirmation as yet.
