Greater Hyderabad municipal corporators belonging to the Congress are sulking that the chief minister and the state leadership of the party are not consulting them while organising party meetings in the twin cities or preparing developmental plans for the state capital.
Labour miniser and city Congress president Danam Nagender organised an extended meeting of the party corporators at Jubilee Hall here on Monday to prepare an action plan to strengthen the party in the Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies and segments falling in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s limits for the 2014 polls.
Some corporators criticised the chief minister and the party’s state leadership, embarrassing Nagender who presided over the meeting.
Parameshwar Reddy (Ramanthapur) alleged that though some corporators were in the hit-list of terrorists, the chief minister was not coming forward to protect them.
“I have threat to my life.
I sought the help of chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and home minister P Sabita Indra Reddy but my repeated appeals to them fell on deaf ears.
