KOCHI: An international information security and hacking conference cOcOn 2011, began at IMA House here on Friday. The conference is aimed at providing a platform to discuss, showcase, educate, understand and spread awareness on the latest trends in information, cyber and hi-tech crimes.Sessions on various segments of information security and cyber crime security like penetration testing, Wi-Fi Malware, mobile security, cyber warfare and cyber terrorism, will be held at the two-day conference.Speakers from India, which include, Security Tube.net founder and CEO Vivek Ramachandran; MIEL e-security Pvt Ltd Technical Services head Santhosh Satam; Payatu Technologies chief researcher Aseem Jakhar and Infosys IT Security Consultant K V Prashant; and international speakers like, UK Based security consultant and co-founder of Xiphos Research Labs, Brimingham Michael Kemp; Security Analyst and Software Architect, co-founder-GuardInfo, a Taiwan based security consulting company, Fydor Yarochkin, would be taking sessions.The book “Back track 5 wireless Penetration testing - Beginner’s Guide” authored by Vivek Ramachandran was launched at the cOcOn 2011 by National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) director Alok Vijayant. The Security Tube Wi-Fi Security Expert (SWSE) Online Certification was also launched during the event.cOcOn is an annual Information Security event conducted every year as part of the International Information Security Day in line with the Information Security Research Association(ISRA) and the Matriux Security Community.
