Though no suicide note was recovered, parents' scolding seemed to have forced him.
New Delhi: A class VI student committed suicide on Wednesday by hanging himself in his house, apparently after failing his school examination, police said.
Fourteen-year-old Sairal Lawrence ended his life at his Vasant Vihar home in southwest Delhi after his results were announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Though no suicide note was recovered, it seemed that he took the step after his parents scolded him over his failure, a police official said.
Sairal's father, D. Lawrence, works as a gardener in the same locality.
"We have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The victim's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination," the official said.
