CHENNAI: Indians look like princes and princesses. They are beautiful and dress so elegantly that they command respect over the world," says Lauredanne Roman, trainer of the skin care brand Matis Paris. Lauredanne was in the city for the launch of the international brand here, at Naturals Beauty Salon. Her compliments about India didn't stop there. After every hourly skin consultation session, Lauredanne spoke about the women she met, their complexion and how they had been receptive to her treatment. "Excessive exposure to sun is the main cause for pigmentation and dehydration; otherwise, Latinos and Arabs and Indians have the best skin," she said, adding that the trick is to hydrate the skin with suitable moisturisers.Matis Paris facials offer need-based treatments. Though the brand has 12 lines of products, they are launching only three unisex products in India --- the Purete, Jeunesse and Blanche, which have skin purifying, anti-aging and skin whitening effects respectively. So what makes Matis different from its competitors across the globe? Laurendanne is confident when she says, "We have an active R&D team that is constantly looking to better the products by testing and analysing them”. The international trainer's sessions for beauticians at the Naturals Beauty Salon focused on the most important factor to choose a beauty regime – customer satisfaction. "We believe in a six step process, where the first and last steps are about making the customers talk about what they expect and their views on the outcome," says Lauredanne, who will next be training professionals in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi.Naturals Beauty Salons in the city will promote the new products in the first week of June, even as they have already made their way into select stores.
