KOCHI: A petition has been filed by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) SI Dhanapani against the officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) alleging that the latter abused CISF personnels for denying them entry into the ICTT.According to the petition, the DRI team led by Chief Vigilance officer Syed Mohammed abused the CISF men. The DRI officials went to the ICTT to seize a container which was carrying 13.7 tonnes of red sandal wood, which was to be shipped to Dubai. The CISF personnel who were on duty at the gate of the ICTT denied the DRI officials entry, saying that ICTT is a special economic zone and entry cannot be granted without permission from the SEZ authorities. The DRI officials had to wait outside the terminal for around three hours and were granted permission only after the Mulavukadu police reached the place.
