HYDERABAD: Telecom giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has extended the ‘Choose Your Mobile Number' scheme to all other parts of the country. RK Upadhyay, chairman and managing director of the public sector company, launched the scheme, CYMN, nationwide at a function held here on Friday.BSNL launched the scheme in Andhra Pradesh on November 1 which drew great response from customers across the state which motivated the management to introduce the scheme across the nation.According to CYMN, a customer can choose any of the one lakh phone numbers available on the BSNL website or by sending a message to 53734.The scheme was the brainchild of chief general manager of BSNL's Andhra Pradesh Circle Rajiv Agarwal and became a great success. BSNL has sold 1.2 lakh new connections, 5,500 a day on an average, under the scheme.
