New Delhi: The government of India is capable enough to deal with the situation, said Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office following a terrorist attack in Punjab's Gurdaspur district on Monday.
"This is a zone which has been vulnerable for quite some time. There have been reports of Pakistan infiltration earlier also," Jitendra Singh said.
He said that Home Ministry has taken note of it and the "government of India is capable enough to deal with such situation".
Terrorists went on a rampage attacking a bus, a health centre and a police station in the major terror attack in Punjab's Gurdaspur district on Monday.
Army and Punjab Police have launched an operation against the terrorists and one has been killed while four others are still holed up inside the police station in Dinanagar in the Gurdaspur district since 5 AM.
