Campaign against plastics

CHENNAI: Minister for Environment and Pollution Control TKM Chinnayya on Monday said that the State government would launch an anti-plastic campaign during the current financial year at an expenditure of Rs 50 lakh. Replying to the discussions on the demands for grants for his department in the State Assembly, the Minister said that the government had already earmarked Rs 5 crore towards removing plastic wastes and `50 crore for laying roads using these plastic wastes.
