BANGALORE: Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu asserted that Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa need not heed opposition demands for his resignation on account of allegations made by them. After inaugurating the Artist Convention Block in Chitra Kala Parishath in Bangalore, he said that the matter was in court and Opposition parties must be patient.“If Yeddyurappa had to resign every time they demanded, then he would have resigned many times over in the last three years,” Naidu quipped. Taking a dig at HD Kumaraswamy and the Union government, he asked why they had asked for Yeddyurappa’s resignation, when there were many allegations against them.On jailed DMK MP Kanimozhi and former telecom minister A Raja, he said only when the SC sought their arrests, did the Centre act.CM MumYeddyurappa also refused to comment on any of the questions related to allegations made by Deve Gowda and said that senior leaders would comment on the same.Henceforth I will comment only on matters relating to development, he stated.
