BSNL to offer advanced facilities at Sabarimala

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Bharath Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will offer better and advanced facilities for Sabarimala pilgrims at Sannidhanam, Pampa and Nilackal during the forthcoming pilgrimage season.BSNL general manager C Sasidharan told ‘Express’ that the BSNL would offer 3G and broadband facilities to the pilgrims.The facilities at Sannidhanam and Pampa will have the capacity to cater to the needs of any number of pilgrims.Permission will also be given to set up PCOs at Sannidhanam, Pampa and Nilackal, Sasidharan said.The BSNL is fully equipped to offer its latest products and facilities at the Nilackal pilgrim transit camp, he said. With the completion of the modernisation works of the parking area at Nilackal, BSNL has initiated measures to meet the increasing demands there, he said.Mobile transmission facilities: Sasidharan said that the BSNL, with the objective of offering wider coverage for its mobile customers, would install two mobile transmitters at Chalakayam and Plappally. With this, customers will be able to use their mobile phones while travelling through the forest stretch between Plappally and Pampa, Sasidharan said.Bill paymentBSNL has introduced automatic bill payment machines at Tiruvalla and Pathanamthitta to avoid hassles for the customers.BSNL melasBSNL will organise divisional-level reconnection melas and adalats for the benefit of customers. The melas and adalats will be held once in a week. Customers will get all BSNL products and services at attractive rates at the melas.
