BANGALORE: The ruling BJP on Sunday sought the transfer of Bellary tahsildar who is also the returning officer for Bellary by-poll while accusing him of functioning in a partisan manner to help independent candidate B Sriramulu.In a complaint lodged with the election commission, the BJP government has accused tahasildar Shashidhar Bagali of acting like the election agent of Sriramulu and requested the commission not to entrust any poll-related responsibilities to him besides transferring him.“We don’t think elections will be held in a fair manner as Bagli was the classmate of Bellary city MLA Somashekhara Reddy and he was also working with Ennoble India company owned by the Reddy brothers before joining government services,” said the complaint, copies of which were released to the media.
