HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday approved the proposal for creation of 154 additional posts at the offices of the BC welfare department for effective implementation of the welfare schemes. The proposal will be submitted for ratification in the next Cabinet meeting.The BC welfare department has been asking the government to sanction additional posts as the work load in the department has increased manifold in the recent past.Among the newly created posts are one additional director, three joint directors, 11 deputy directors, 35 assistant BC welfare officers, 26 superintendents, 29 senior assistants, and 49 junior assistants at the headquarters and district and field offices. It may be recalled that the state government had recently extended reservation for BCs, minorities and physically challenged persons for a further period of 10 years in education and government services.
