Bangalore: The body of Bangalore-based jeweller who was allegedly kidnapped by some persons was found on the roadside at Dobbaspet in Tumkur on Wednesday, police said. Nitesh, owner of BRN Jewellers in Chickpet was allegedly kidnapped by some persons on Tuesday.
Police said the man had called his wife before he disappeared from his shop and asked her to hand over 100 grams of gold and whatever cash was there in the house to a person he was sending home.
When he failed to return by his usual time at night his wife called him to be told that he would be returning late.
Subsequently there was no response from his cell, following which she lodged a complaint with police.
Police said they are working on some clues and are confident of solving the case soon.
