SAMBALPUR: The Centre’s announcement on reservation to Muslims from the 27 per cent quota of the OBCs is yet another instance of targeting the Hindus, said Bajrang Dal national chief Subhash Chouhan here on Monday. Chouhan told mediapersons that one incident after another, the UPA Government proves its anti-Hindu credentials. From repealing POTA soon after coming to power to giving a free hand to Jehadi terrorists followed by hiking of fuel prices and the list is endless, and these are proof enough to justify their anti-Hindu stand. He questioned the prerogative of Muslims to raise bigger families and claiming reservations. The Government too is silent on the issue of polygamy in their religion in a bid to appease them thus robbing the poor and backward communities of the privileges. The Centre’s decision would affect around 175 sub-castes in OBCs. He reminded the leaders that BR Ambedkar had mooted reservation for the castes and communities who were backward. While they continue to lag behind, the Muslims enjoy the benefits of reservation. The Bajrang Dal leader demanded immediate dropping of all such proposals giving any reservations to Muslims or other minorities either from the quota of OBCs, SCs, STs and appealed to them to come together to prevent further division of the country. He threatened widespread agitation if the Centre went ahead to implement the proposal.
