ANANTAPUR: The construction of the Maha Samadhi of Sri Satya Saibaba in Puttaparthi has been completed. Public will be allowed to have the darshan of the Samadhi from Friday. The special ritual ahead of the inauguration of the Samadhi s tar ted on Thursday evening itself while the traditional Kalasa pooja, homam, yagam would be performed on Friday.The Sr i Satya Sai Samadhi was located in the Saikulwanth Hall in Pr a s anthi Ni l a y am, Puttaparthy, where the Baba used to give darshan to his devotees.A r c h i t e c t s f r o m Malaysia designed the Samadhi while marbles used for the Samadhi were brought from Rajasthan, Thailand and Vietnam.The construction work wa s unde r t aken by Bangalore-based company Sankara Narayana constructions. The sealing of the Sai Kulwanth hall where the Samadhi was located has been goldplated.The Sri Satya Sai Central Trust had spent Rs 60 lakh for the construction of the Samadhi, sources said.The statue of Saibaba would be installed on the Samadhi and the foot prints of Baba on the bottom of the three feet high and three feet wide and 8 feet long Samadhi, sources said.Meanwhile, Puttaparthy once again is teaming with devotees who have been thronging the place to have the darshan of the Samadhi.
