New Delhi: On Wednesday night, Twitter was flooded with actor Ayushmann Khurrana's death news. A website called Global Associated News reported that the actor had died after a snowboard accident.
The report with great details explained how the actor was on a holiday with friends and family in Switzerland and met with an accident at Zermatt ski resort.
The news created much confusion among the Twitter users as they questioned the authenticity of the news. Some even went on to tweet "RIP Ayushmann Khurrana'.
Perhaps being tagged in a few tweets himself, the actor himself clarified that the news was a hoax and assured that he was fine.
The actor tweeted, "I have been hearing some bizarre rumors about my demise. RIP rumor mongers. Thanks!(sic)"
In the past, the same website has carried similar death hoax stories on Hollywood actors like Adam Sandler, Charlie Sheen and Channing Tatum.
