Astrologer Pandit Nandkishore Mudgal from Mudgal Jyotish Center, Pagal Baba Ashram in Deoghar, Jharkhand is in the headlines. In an interview with Local18, the astrologer talked about the positive aftereffects of keeping camphor or Kapur in the three portions of the house.

According to Pandit Nandkishore, when camphor powder tied to red cloth is kept in the house, it strengthens the financial situation. Pandit Nandkishore also said that this carries positive energy which helps in ending the squabbles in the house.

The astrologer added that people should also place camphor in their home’s temple and at the entrance of the house in the evening. Burning camphor and long pepper in the temple every day removes all kinds of negative energies. Placing camphor at the home’s entrance has numerous spiritual benefits that symbolise positivity, peace, and getting rid of negativity from your home.

The Jharkhand-based astrologer also talked about the positive implications of using the carnation flowers in the house. He said that these flowers are used in pujas and other religious rituals.

As per the Ayurvedic text ‘Raj Nighantu’. there are about 14 different types of Karpura (Kapur), out of those, Bhimseni Karpura is one the best variants for therapeutic purposes. It is light (laghu), sheet virya (cooling in nature), ruksha (drying properties), bitter, pungent and sweet, which helps in balancing Pitta and Kapha Dosha easily. Camphor is a rare herb that despite being a coolant, balances Kapha Dosha, and reduces fat and balances Vata-induced pains and aches.

Besides being used in religious rituals, camphor can also treat many health ailments. For example- It helps to control the inflammation and has a calming effect on the body. and skin. Due to its cooling and soothing effect, Kapur controls skin outbreaks or rashes when applied over the affected area. It effectively treats acne and acne scars, when used along with coconut oil or olive oil.
